LAKE 22 ELOPEMENT

We had it all planned. Down to every last detail, and then 2020 had other plans.  In April, we made the difficult decision to postpone our day in hopes that more family could attend at a later date.  A couple of months later, things weren't looking any better. So one afternoon in July, we started talking about eloping.  We knew we wanted mountains with beautiful views, our closest people, adventure, and of course, the dress.

Washington was Chris and my first trip together and Lake 22 was our first hike,(pictured above).  We decided that was the ultimate experience, including the 3.5 mile hike up the mountain to get there.  Since we were abandoning the traditional wedding, we knew the elopement needed to be epic, and it truly was!

With our garment bags and bouquets attached to our backpacks, we hiked for two and a half hours straight up to reach Lake 22. We had an intimate ceremony on a rock which, with my father as the officiant, and only eight of us total, was such a wonderful experience that I wouldn't trade for anything.

For tips & advice on how and where to elope, please don't hesitate to reach out! We would love to help make your day as adventurous as ours :)
